Junior Equity Financing & Trading Analyst – Hedge Fund - Paris   Boussard & Gavaudan (BG) is an asset management group specialized in alternative financial management. Founded in 2002, BG is independent and has over 50 employees based in Paris, London and New York, managing several billion euros in assets. Our main products are AIFs, a listed fund, and UCITS funds. We are looking to hire a motivated Junior Equity Financing & Trading Analyst to join our execution team in Paris. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day management of equity financing activities, including repo transactions, stock lending and borrowing, financing optimization, and trading operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate seeking exposure to equity markets, prime brokerage, and hedge fund trading activities. The role offers direct interaction with traders, counterparties, prime brokers, and operations teams, providing a comprehensive understanding of market structure and capital markets financing. Key Responsibilities Financing & Repo Management • Assist in the execution and monitoring of equity financing and repo transactions • Monitor financing positions and funding requirements across portfolios • Maintain relationships with prime brokers and financing counterparties • Support negotiations of borrowing rates and financing terms • Track corporate actions and financing impacts on positions Securities Lending & Borrow Management • Monitor stock loan availability and hard-to-borrow securities • Coordinate securities lending and borrowing activities with counterparties • Analyze borrow costs and identify financing risks Trading Support • Assist traders with trade execution preparation and trade booking • Reconcile positions between internal systems, custodians, and prime brokers • Support special situations, event-driven investments, and capital structure trades Data Analysis & Reporting • Develop new tools and maintain financing and liquidity dashboards • Produce regular management reports and ad hoc analyse • Support process automation and trading infrastructure improvements Candidate Profile Education • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or a related quantitative discipline Experience • Any previous experience, including internships, in trading, securities financing, treasury, operations, prime brokerage, capital markets, or a related field would be an asset Technical Skills • Programming skills (Python, VBA, SQL) • Strong Excel skills Personal Attributes • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced market environment • Strong communication skills • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Location : 69 boulevard Haussmann – 75008 Paris Contract type : Permanent (CDI) Compensation : Based on profile Our advantages and practical details • High-level and dynamic environment • On-site gym Boussard & Gavaudan www.boussard-gavaudan.com/fr/carrieres 2.16.1.2 2.16.1.2
