Responsibilities
- Relationship Management: Collaborate and communicate with faculty, staff, and other campus partners to promote the dynamic liberal arts student experience, providing accurate and positive information about career possibilities. Support the expansion of the career ecosystem model across the College, infusing career initiatives across the student experience. Manage marketing requests from within the Liberal Arts Career Services team.
- Social Media Management: Lead strategy for Liberal Arts Career Services’ Instagram account including identifying audiences, content pillars, and formats. Manage content calendar in accordance with content goals. Collaborate with Public Affairs on LinkedIn strategy and provide career related content. Enhance presence and increase activity and impact across both platforms.
- Event Marketing and Support: Lead and coordinate marketing efforts for Liberal Arts Career Services events including social media promotion, digital media, and print materials. Manage live coverage of events including social media and photography/videography needs. Support with event operations for Liberal Arts Career Services and College of Liberal Arts events.
- Student Connections: Maintain pulse of liberal arts student trends, behaviors, and interests. Manage relationships with liberal arts student groups by communicating with student leaders and staff/faculty advisors, providing career resources and updates, and attending meetings or events to promote career initiatives.
- Student Marketing Intern Supervision: Establish candidate pools, interview, engage, and train student marketing interns. Assign and supervise tasks directly for student marketing interns. Lead regular team meetings, provide feedback, and coordinate professional development for students.
- Website Management: Ensure consistency and accuracy with career content on department pages, working directly with departments to create tailored content as needed. Gather, audit, and analyze existing content. Support the Liberal Arts Career Services website with maintenance, updating and enhancing content for greater engagement and student success.
- Other related duties and functions as assigned and based on the evolving needs of the College.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. At least three years of branding, marketing, or communication strategy experience. Excellent project management abilities, interpersonal skills, and oral and written communication skills. Experience working across programs and teams to achieve goals. Ability to manage competing priorities, working independently and in collaboration with others. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and social media channels. At least 2 years professional or paraprofessional supervisory experience buying advertising, developing, and implementing special promotions, electronic media production, print production, sales, and/or marketing professional entertainment events.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building and cultivating strong partnerships in a university setting. Demonstrated experience and interest in serving university students. Skill with innovating and taking initiative to address needs of wide variety of stakeholders. Adaptability amid ambiguity and cross-team collaboration. Experience with equipment and processes used in the position’s specific areas of responsibility, including automated systems.
Salary Range
$50,000 + depending on qualifications
