Aluminum DynamicsOverview
We are seeking a Business Analyst who will also serve as Scrum Master for our Software Development team. This person will translate operational needs into clear, sprint-ready user stories, and will own the health of our Agile process — facilitating ceremonies, removing impediments, and keeping the team focused and delivering. They will learn our business and manufacturing processes, work directly with end users and developers, and maintain a consistent pipeline of refined work for upcoming sprints.
Responsibilities
- Meet with users, department leaders, and developers to understand business needs and operational challenges.
- Learn the company's manufacturing processes, business rules, and software applications.
- Convert requests into well-defined user stories with acceptance criteria, exceptions, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
- Facilitate discovery and backlog-refinement discussions throughout each sprint.
- Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Identify unclear, conflicting, or duplicate requirements and potential impacts on other systems or departments.
- Create process flows, mockups, and supporting documentation when beneficial.
- Track and communicate sprint progress, velocity, and burndown to stakeholders.
- Assist with prioritization, user acceptance testing, and communication of completed changes.
Qualifications
Required
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn complex business and manufacturing processes.
- Experience gathering and documenting business or software requirements.
- Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews).
- Comfortable working with both technical and nontechnical employees.
- Willingness to spend time with end users in office and plant-floor environments.
- Experience with Agile software development, manufacturing operations, or internally developed applications is preferred.
Preferred
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree
