Position: Junior Network Security Engineer
Location: Oporto - Hybrid
Job Summary: We are looking for a Security Infrastructure Engineer responsible for the operational maintenance and continuous improvement of security infrastructures, ensuring high standards of quality, productivity, and security. The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, implementing and optimizing security policies, defining best practices, ensuring compliance with security and quality standards, and providing technical expertise and guidance on network security, while maintaining service levels in line with agreed SLAs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the operational maintenance of security infrastructures with a focus on quality, productivity, and security (Run);
- Conduct diagnostics to identify the causes of malfunctions and flow blockages;
- Implement and maintain security policies on security equipment;
- Propose solutions to improve security policies;
- Define and implement best practices for managing security policies;
- Provide expertise in his/her field while offering advice, assistance, information, training, and alerts regarding network security;
- Interface with experts from other domains. Verify compliance with standards (IT security, quality, etc.);
- Ensure the appropriate level of service quality in line with the requirements of service contracts (SLAs) within his/her area of responsibility.
Requirements:
- Study / Knowledge on network (micro) segmentation technologies on traditional firewalls rules implementation (NSX-T / VCF9 network, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.);
- Knowledge in coding security rules in Firewall (Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.);
- Knowledge in an IT production environment (management of requests, incidents, changes, documentation, etc.);
- Need to have either Portuguese/English or French/English.
