What you'll be doing
The Mass Affluent team is focused on building meaningful client relationships through data-informed decisions, scalable capabilities, and strategic growth. As a Director, Chapter Lead, you'll shape the strategy that drives Mass Affluent client acquisition, relationship deepening, and scale. You'll advise senior leaders on complex decisions, investment choices, and trade-offs that influence business direction and client outcomes. You'll develop and advance analytical, experimentation, optimization, and decision capabilities that create measurable value. You'll establish a clear approach to measurement, value realization, and technical quality, while building strong partnerships across business, product, advice, engineering, data, finance, and risk. You'll also strengthen the Decision Science community by developing technical talent and creating an environment where strong practitioners can grow and thrive.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you'll succeed
Strategic leadership - Lead data and Decision Science initiatives that support Mass Affluent business outcomes and help identify high-value opportunities to acquire, deepen, and scale client relationships.
Business and technical translation - Connect technical possibilities to business strategy, client needs, advisor realities, and risk considerations to guide sound, practical decisions.
Capability building - Design and strengthen scalable decision systems, analytical approaches, and technical capabilities that continue creating value beyond a single initiative.
Influence and execution - Influence consequential decisions through evidence, clarity, and sound judgement while establishing accountability for adoption, value realization, and sustained performance.
Cross-functional partnership - Build strong coalitions across teams and functions to align priorities, remove barriers, and deliver meaningful outcomes without relying solely on formal authority.
Talent development - Attract, develop, and retain exceptional technical and analytical talent while fostering an environment where people can challenge assumptions, test ideas, and share evidence openly.
