A Day in the Life

Global Talent Operations enables the delivery of learning and talent programs through scalable operational support, program administration, and service excellence. The Global Learning & Event Planning team partners with Learning & Development leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate learning experiences, manage event execution, and ensure consistent service delivery across a global portfolio of programs.

This position is based onsite at Medtronic Operational Headquarters and leads a team responsible for learning coordination, program administration, and event planning activities that support global talent and development initiatives. Occasional travel may be required based on business and program needs.

         

         


As Sr. Supervisor, Global Learning & Event Planning, you will lead a team that delivers operational support for learning programs, leadership development initiatives, and corporate events. This role combines people leadership, operational management, stakeholder partnership, and process improvement to ensure reliable, high-quality execution across a global portfolio of learning and development activities.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team responsible for learning coordination, program administration, and event planning services.
  • Manage team capacity, staffing, and resource allocation to support business priorities and service commitments.
  • Oversee planning and execution of global learning programs and events, ensuring consistent delivery across regions.
  • Direct project activities including scheduling, deliverables, risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Manage event logistics, vendor relationships, contracts, budgets, participant support, and operational readiness activities.
  • Partner with Learning & Development leaders and business stakeholders to define service expectations and delivery plans.
  • Establish operational metrics and reporting to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive service improvements.
  • Standardize processes, support service transitions, and implement workflow improvements that increase efficiency and consistency.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of experience OR Advanced degree and 1+ year of experience in learning operations, event planning, program administration, HR operations, or related field.
  • Experience leading or coordinating the work of a team, including workload management and resource prioritization.
  • Experience managing projects, timelines, deliverables, and operational risks across multiple initiatives.
  • Experience partnering with stakeholders across functions to deliver business services and program outcomes.
  • Experience using operational metrics, reporting, and financial data to support decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting global learning programs, leadership development initiatives, or large-scale corporate events.
  • Experience managing vendors, contracts, budgets, invoice processing, and service performance.
  • Experience leading process standardization, automation, or operational improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with learning management systems, Human Resources platforms, and project management tools.
  • Experience supporting global or geographically dispersed stakeholder groups.




For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$81,600.00 - $122,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
