Job Description:

Answers telephone calls and emails, greet donors and assesses needs. Receives and distributes donations in a professional and positive way. Provide clerical support to the department as assigned.

Pay Rate: Based on Experience

Shift Details:

Seasonal - November through January

Monday through Friday with flexibility to work between 7am - 6pm depending on donor needs.  

Primary Children's Hospital (SLC) and Primary Children's Lehi


Essential Job Duties

  • Welcome, assist, and thank community donors who visit the hospital.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute donations to appropriate departments and programs.
  • Maintain organized and clean donation receiving and storage areas.
  • Communicate professionally with donors, volunteers, patients, families, and staff in person, by phone, and through email.
  • Respond to phone calls and email inquiries, providing accurate information and timely follow-up.
  • Provide administrative support, including data entry, scanning, filing, scheduling, and processing forms and documentation.
  • Assist with volunteer communications and outreach as needed.
  • Support seasonal donation drives and holiday-related activities throughout the hospital.
  • Assist with hospital holiday decorating projects.
    • Provide support in the hospital gift shop, including: 
    • Cashiering
    • Pricing merchandise
    • Merchandise displays and stocking
  • May assist with coordinating and overseeing community volunteers assigned to donation-related projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Six months experience as a receptionist or working in a clerical position with customer service
  • Experience using a computer including e-mail and internet
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks with accuracy and in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated focus on positive customer service

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Experience typing or performing data entry
  • Experience using call routing systems
  • Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and scheduling programs

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to push and pull carts or other materials as needed.
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Frequent use of computers, phones, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and process information accurately.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$17.43 - $22.40
