SUMMARYThe Assistant Manager (AM) - Days serves as the primary daytime operational leader for Grand Market and supports the Store Leader in the overall management of store operations. This position has increased responsibility and decision-making authority related to inventory management, ordering, merchandising, staffing support, associate development, customer service, and operational execution.
The Assistant Manager (AM) works closely with the Store Leader to achieve operational, financial, and customer service goals while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. While the Store Leader retains overall accountability for the location, the Assistant Manager (AM) is expected to exercise independent judgment and assume significant leadership responsibility in support of store operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION
- Responsible for store opening.
- Responsible for store orders and inventory replenishment.
- Monitors inventory levels and maintains product availability.
- Assists with scheduling, staffing coverage, and labor planning.
- Assigns CSAs to perform where they are needed during shift.
- Trains and coaches associates.
- Supervises assigned team members during scheduled shifts.
- Assists with merchandising, pricing, promotions, and product presentation.
- Assists with interviewing, onboarding, and training associates.
- Ensures customer service standards are consistently met.
- Partners with the Store Leader to support operational, financial, and customer service goals.
- Serves as Manager on Duty when assigned.
- Provides leadership coverage in the absence of the Store Leader.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to pass Wewinabi's Non-Gaming Suitability Standards background check.
- Must be able to work with minimum direction after job assignment and work either individually and/or as a team member.
- Must possess excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and organizational skills.
- Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Three years of progressively responsible retail experience is required.
- At least two years of supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
- Driver's license is required.
- Working knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, margins, costs, and retail pricing is required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
REASONING ABILITY
- Must be able to apply common sense understanding to a variety of situations in order to define problems, collect data, analyze facts, and determine the appropriate response.
- Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Talk and hear; ability to communicate effectively.
- See and adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision.
- Stand, walk, run, sit (up to 8 hours), balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl.
- Handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands.
- Lift, push, pull and/or move objects weighing up to one hundred (100) pounds.
