The University of Wisconsin Center for Tobacco Research and Intervention (UW-CTRI) offers a unique opportunity for a Project Coordinator to be based in the Boston, Massachusetts area and support multiple complex grant-funded projects focused on enhancing the use of evidence-based tobacco treatment in partnership with community organizations. These include a P01 grant-funded project to enhance the use of evidence-based tobacco treatment in partnership with 16 Community Health Centers (CHCs), including eight in Wisconsin and eight in Massachusetts; and a UH3 grant-funded project to evaluate strategies to connect clients at 16 Salvation Army (SA) sites in Wisconsin with evidence-based tobacco treatment.
This is a remote, Boston-based position. The position will coordinate with and support CHC and SA sites in Massachusetts and Wisconsin, with most meetings and operations primarily held virtually, and in-person site visits and meetings with Massachusetts partners as required. Infrequent travel to Wisconsin for project meetings may also be required. This position requires bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
The Project Coordinator will promote the effective functioning and collaboration of relevant groups to accomplish the aims of the research projects. They will be responsible for coordinating the activities of research teams, community partners, and external vendors; scheduling meetings and facilitating communications between these parties; and tracking tasks and maintaining records to monitor progress towards project goals. They will also support data collection, management, coding, and dissemination efforts by conducting qualitative interviews, supporting patient outreach and navigation, coding data, and monitoring the activities of the data management teams. They will need to use both English- and Spanish-speaking skills for interviews and interactions with patients and participants in these projects. They will collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and refine project plans, systems, and protocols and will work to maintain those systems throughout the life cycles of projects.
- It is anticipated that this position will be remote and requires work be performed at an offsite, non-campus work location.

- This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding.
- This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Conducts qualitative interviews in English and Spanish and supports coding of qualitative data.
- Develops, schedules, coordinates, and prioritizes project work plans in accordance with specifications and resource limitations
- Serves as the initial point of contact for the project(s), serves on committees, and attends meetings representing the interests of the project(s)
- Analyzes data and trends, compiles progress reports, and provides appropriate recommendations or conclusions
- Develops, enhances, and maintains operational standards and systems to support project teams
- Establishes, monitors, coordinates, and controls project budgets versus actual expenditures and budget reporting
- Supports patient outreach and navigation using English- and Spanish-speaking skills.

UW-CTRI is based in the School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. UW-CTRI improves lives by conducting biomedical and social science research to better understand the impacts of tobacco use and addiction and design and implement evidence-based interventions to reduce tobacco use.
Compensation:
The starting salary for the position is $60,000 annually; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Experience coordinating activities, meetings, events, or projects involving multiple parties and competing priorities.
- Demonstrated success building collaborative relationships across multiple groups.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency with data management, reporting, survey administration, or analysis tools, including experience maintaining documentation, tracking project metrics, and supporting compliance-related activities.
Education:
