Job Title: Practice Nurse (Part-Time)
Location: GP Surgery, Leicester
Hours: Thursdays, 8 hours per week
Rate: £30 per hour

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Practice Nurse to join our team in Leicester. This part-time position, available every Thursday, focuses on treatment room duties and chronic disease management. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing high-quality care and managing chronic conditions in a primary care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform treatment room duties, including wound care, dressings, ear irrigation, injections, and health screenings.
- Conduct chronic disease reviews, such as asthma, diabetes, COPD, and hypertension management, including routine checks and patient education.
- Administer vaccinations and immunizations as required, ensuring patients are fully informed and comfortable.
- Carry out ECGs, blood pressure checks, and phlebotomy as part of patient assessments.
- Collaborate with GPs and the wider clinical team to ensure integrated, high-quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in compliance with practice protocols and confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- **Registered Nurse (RN)** with valid NMC registration.
- Previous experience in a GP practice or primary care setting.
- Competent in chronic disease management, including asthma, diabetes, COPD, and hypertension.
- Strong clinical skills in treatment room procedures, including phlebotomy, wound care, and administering injections.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
