Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Center Full Time Patrol in Poway, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will help create a welcoming environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and supporting security-related procedures. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and staff, and help identify concerns while remaining visible. What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting patients, visitors, and staff and communicating screening requirements in a professional, compassionate manner.
• Conduct health screening activities at designated healthcare facility entry points, following site-specific policies and procedures.
• Verify visitor access requirements and direct patients and visitors to appropriate entrances, departments, and resources.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and support a welcoming healthcare environment through attentive observation and adherence to security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
