Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk | Shrewsbury | Full Time | 08:30 – 17:00 | Office Based | Immediate start available

 

Do you have a strong background in Accounts Payable? Are you available to start a new role immediately?

 

Seymour John are supporting a well-established business in Shrewsbury who are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to provide temporary support for approximately 6 weeks.

This is a hands-on role within a busy, fast-paced finance environment, with a particular focus on high-volume invoice processing. You will be joining a team that needs someone who can quickly get up to speed, work accurately and confidently manage a busy workload.

 

The position is available for an immediate start and is expected to continue until around Christmas.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

• Processing a high volume of supplier invoices
• Matching invoices against purchase orders
• Coding and inputting invoices accurately onto the system
• Ensuring invoices are processed promptly and correctly
• Dealing with supplier queries and resolving discrepancies
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Supporting with payment runs where required
• Liaising with internal departments to resolve invoice and purchase order queries

 

Personal Profile

We are looking for someone with previous Accounts Payable experience who is comfortable working in a high-volume environment.

You will need to be confident managing your own workload and able to work at pace. As this is a short-term assignment, you should be comfortable picking up new systems and processes quickly.
