About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Media Rights Project Coordinator to join the Media Rights team for the Australian Open 2027.

This role provides a unique opportunity to work at one of the world's premier sporting events, supporting the delivery and monitoring of global broadcast coverage. You will play a key role in tracking international broadcaster activity, monitoring live coverage across multiple platforms and territories, delivering insights and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

This position will be engaged from week commencing 4 January 2027 through to the end of February 2027 (with some flexibility around start and end dates).

During the Tournament

  • Monitor the live Australian Open broadcast feeds globally via the MMK platform, including screen-grabbing, clipping and tracking broadcaster output across linear, digital and social platforms.
  • Source, clip and catalogue key tournament footage, identifying standout moments and maintaining an organised and accessible content library.
  • Create broadcast summaries and support internal content planning to ensure key matches, storylines and memorable moments are captured throughout the tournament.
  • Maintain daily broadcast monitoring and coverage reports, tracking both scheduled and actual broadcaster activity.
  • Monitor social and digital trends to identify high-performing content and audience engagement across international markets.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of broadcaster updates, newsletter summaries and stakeholder communications.
  • Create daily and tournament-wide reports showcasing how Australian Open coverage is presented across international broadcast and digital platforms.
  • Support client and partner servicing on-site, including ticketing, hospitality, hosting and other event logistics.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with post-event reporting, summary presentations and debrief documentation.
  • Support the tracking, analysis and reporting of match scheduling data.
  • Provide general project and administrative support to the Media Rights team as required.
  • Undertake other duties reasonably requested during the contract period.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be a team player.
  • Have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Canva will be highly regarded.
  • A willingness to learn and become proficient with platforms such as Monday.com, MMK, Scoreplay, Kore and others that may be required.
  • Familiarity with digital content platforms and OTT/streaming technologies.
  • An interest in tennis, live sport and the Australian Open.
  • A base level understanding of broadcast media, digital content and social media ecosystems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence working with data, reporting and performance insights.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused attitude with the flexibility to adapt during a live event environment.
