Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Tarrytown, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare and pharmaceutical location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate security-related logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a professional presence and promptly reporting suspicious activity, policy violations, and hazards to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
• Possess CPR certification, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
