Design & Commissioning Engineer (Mechanical)

Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Design & Commissioning Engineer to join our client's team.

The selected candidate will take ownership of technical projects involving fire protection and security systems, managing activities from the initial design stage through installation, commissioning and post-completion. This position requires a strong engineering background, technical expertise and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders while ensuring that projects are delivered according to technical, regulatory, budget and scheduling requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage projects from initial design and engineering through commissioning and post-completion activities.
• Prepare technical designs, costings and site surveys for fire protection and security systems.
• Oversee commissioning activities, verify system performance and monitor installation quality.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and complete or sign off required project certifications.
• Coordinate technical, scheduling and project matters while supporting the development and training of the design team.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably with a relevant warrant or Technician Certificate.
• Proven experience designing fire protection and security systems for commercial and industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to interpret M&E drawings.
• Strong project management, budgeting, scheduling, stakeholder coordination and technical problem-solving skills, together with a valid Maltese driving licence.
