We know the health of people, the planet and our business are interconnected which is why we’re taking ambitious action to tackle some of the biggest challenges of our time, from climate change to access to healthcare and disease prevention.

At AstraZeneca, we are redefining cancer care through science, innovation, and partnership. This is an opportunity for an experienced oncology professional who combines strong clinical credibility with strategic account leadership, commercial acumen, and a genuine commitment to improving patient outcomes. You will lead priority academic and community accounts across the BC Interior, working closely with healthcare professionals, medical colleagues, brand teams, and other cross-functional partners.

In this role, you will develop and execute a strategic territory plan that supports the appropriate adoption of AstraZeneca’s breast cancer portfolio. You will build trusted, compliant relationships with stakeholders across complex healthcare environments and translate clinical evidence into meaningful, insight-led conversations.

  • Deliver evidence-based engagement: Conduct high-quality, compliant discussions with healthcare professionals in complex clinical environments, using relevant clinical evidence and insights to support appropriate treatment decisions.
  • Understand account dynamics: Analyze customer needs, local healthcare systems, access considerations, treatment pathways, and institutional priorities to identify opportunities for collaboration and improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner effectively with Sales, Medical, Diagnostics, Marketing, Market Access, and other internal colleagues to deliver coordinated customer engagement and value.
  • Support impactful education: Plan and deliver relevant educational programs and activities for healthcare professionals in alignment with business priorities and applicable policies.
  • Use digital and analytical tools: Apply CRM, omnichannel engagement, analytics, and other business tools to plan, execute, monitor, and improve territory performance.
  • Demonstrate agility and ownership: Adapt quickly to changing customer, business, and healthcare-system needs while maintaining a high standard of execution, integrity, and accountability.
  • Contribute to team success: Share insights, best practices, and market intelligence while strengthening collaboration across a high-performing and inclusive team.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • At least five years of pharmaceutical sales experience (2+ years oncology preferred), ideally with experience in breast cancer and a strong understanding of institutional account dynamics.
  • Strategic account capability: Demonstrated success developing territory plans, managing complex accounts, prioritizing opportunities, and delivering measurable business results.
  • Clinical and scientific credibility: The ability to understand and communicate clinical evidence clearly and appropriately with healthcare professionals.
  • Influencing skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to establish credibility quickly.
  • Business acumen: A practical understanding of customer needs, healthcare-system dynamics, commercial priorities, and data-informed decision-making.
  • Digital capability: Experience using CRM, analytics, virtual engagement, and omnichannel tools to improve customer interactions and business outcomes.
  • Collaboration: A track record of working effectively across functions and contributing positively to team culture and performance.
  • Adaptability: Organization, resourcefulness, resilience, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • A university degree in science, business, or a related discipline.

Desirable Skills/Experience:
