About this opportunity

Are you experienced in turning complex risk information into clear insight that helps senior leaders make better decisions?

This is a highly visible leadership role within Business & Commercial Banking, leading a team that provides reporting and insight for senior business, Executive and Board audiences.

You’ll lead high-profile reporting for senior leaders and key governance forums, bringing together complex information to identify emerging issues, trends and priorities. You’ll provide clear insight, advice and constructive challenge to support management action and effective decision-making.

You’ll oversee governance processes that support effective oversight of the control environment, respond to requests for analysis and build strong relationships across the business and Risk. You’ll also develop the team, setting high standards for accuracy, insight and delivery.

There’s an opportunity to improve how reporting is delivered too, making greater use of data, analytics, automation and AI to improve quality, efficiency and control.

Why Lloyds Banking Group

We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good. We’re focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone.

What you'll need

  • Risk Management: extensive first and/or second line financial services experience, including enterprise risk management, control frameworks, control effectiveness and issue remediation.
  • Executive reporting & Communication: significant experience producing Executive or Board reporting, with strong written skills and the ability to turn complex information into clear, concise and actionable insight.
  • Managing Key Relationships: experience engaging with senior leaders, building effective relationships and providing constructive challenge to support decisions.
  • Data Literacy: strong data and analytical skills, with experience interpreting complex information to identify meaningful insight and support decision-making.
  • Prioritisation & Delegation: people leadership experience, setting clear standards and developing capability within a team.
  • AI Literacy: experience improving ways of working and an understanding of how AI and technology can support more efficient and controlled processes.

These skills align with the mapped Control Office F profile, including proficient requirements across Risk Management, Communication, Data Literacy, Managing Key Relationships and Prioritisation & Delegation, with AI Literacy at competent proficiency.

And any experience of this would be really useful

  • Automation Frameworks: experience or understanding of automation approaches that can improve reporting processes.
  • Data Visualization: experience presenting complex data clearly to support senior decision-making.
  • Regulatory Reporting: experience supporting reporting in a regulated environment.

We know that great talent comes from many backgrounds. Whilst this job advert may reference specific years of experience, we recognise that skills are developed in many ways, so if you have relevant, transferable experience, we encourage you to apply.
