Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a State Site in Boston MA

Saturday and Sunday 3 PM - 11 PM

Starting Pay is $23.00 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training

As a Screener supporting a government location, you will help maintain a welcoming, orderly environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with the public and staff. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, assist with routine security-related procedures, and help to deter incidents through a visible, service-focused presence. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals and personal property at designated entry points using established screening equipment and procedures; identify and report prohibited items, irregularities, and access concerns.
• Verify identification, credentials, and visitor authorization in accordance with government facility requirements; maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the facility perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
