Description

Overview

This is a UK-based FSP opportunity in which you will be dedicated to supporting a global pharmaceutical sponsor as an embedded Clinical Supply Chain Manager.

Acting as the clinical supply representative within cross-functional study teams, you will be responsible for driving supply strategy, managing vendor oversight, mitigating supply risks, and ensuring clinical supply activities are aligned with study objectives and timelines. The role requires strong collaboration across internal sponsor functions and external partners, with a focus on governance, oversight, and strategic decision-making rather than day-to-day operational execution.

If you enjoy working at the intersection of strategy, stakeholder management, and operational excellence, this role offers the opportunity to influence clinical trial success within a sponsor environment while benefiting from the support and development opportunities of an FSP model.

• Setup, monitor, and where necessary, update study assigned Interactive Response Technology (IRT) systems to ensure study inventory is effectively managed

• Create an appropriate distribution plan and have oversight of the assigned vendor(s) executing it

• Ability to work independently and proactively to ensure that the supply of all trial materials is delivered to the right place at the right time

• Provide ongoing budget tracking activities so that projects are run efficiently and in accordance with client approved quotations

• Maintains 100% compliance on all assigned training and applies learnings to everyday practice

• Remain up to date in all GxP and regulatory requirements applicable to the role

• Leads client and vendor related meetings where necessary to discuss clinical supply chain topics or status updates

• Creates a Temperature Excursion management plan
• Manages the review and assessment process of Temperature Excursions reported to the IQVIA Clinical Trial Supplies team
• Conducts thorough and regular risk management assessments to ensure all risks are systematically reviewed and appropriate mitigations are executed

Education, Knowledge and Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline
• 2-3 Years related industry experience in Clinical Trials (Essential)

• 2-3 Years experience in Clinical Supply Chain Management (Essential)
• Working knowledge of clinical trial supply processes including demand forecasting, inventory management, packaging, labeling, distribution, and returns

• Experience working with IRT/RTSM systems and clinical supply management tools

• Understanding of GCP, GMP, GDP, GxP, and applicable clinical supply regulations

• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

• Experience in supply planning, demand planning, inventory planning, or production planning within a regulated environment

• Understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes from manufacturing through distribution and clinical site supply

• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP, for inventory management, material planning, supply tracking, and reporting

• Ability to analyze supply and inventory data to support forecasting and decision-making
