Verify the work order, part revision, fixture, and approved robot program before production. Load and unload parts, monitor the weld cycle, complete assigned in-process checks, record production activity, and promptly report equipment or weld-quality concerns. Perform work within approved procedures, training, and authorization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Operate and monitor robotic welding cells and associated equipment in accordance with approved work instructions.
2. Before starting production, verify the work order, part number and revision, fixture, and approved robot program against the traveler or other production documentation. Verify required weld consumables and equipment status as directed by the work instructions.
3. Load, position, secure, and unload parts and fixtures as trained. Use designated lifting aids and material-handling procedures.Run only the approved robot program for the assigned work. Do not change robot programs, weld schedules or parameters, offsets, fixtures, or safety settings unless specifically trained and authorized.
4. Monitor the cycle and equipment for alarms, faults, interrupted welds, wire-feed or part-handling problems, and other abnormalities. Respond only within training and authorization; escalate unresolved issues. Perform first-part, in-process, and other required inspections using approved measuring equipment and documented procedures.
