Currently, we are seeking a qualified Accountant to work collaboratively with our Sales and Service division in Anderson, California. This position will work closely with the Managers, the Company Controller, and other accountants within the Company.


About the Position

• Accounting for the Company’s Sales and Service division, including financial statement preparations and financial statement analysis, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and other analysis as needed
  
• Monthly and year-end close for the division, including preparation of all audit and tax schedules
  
• Leverage technology, data analytics, and tools to modernize accounting and sales data
  
• Prepare and provide analysis to management for tracking performance, identifying trends, and reporting
  
• Manage fixed asset accounting and reconcile fixed asset accounts
  
• Manage cash application process for incoming payments
  
• Oversee vendor managed inventory process
  
• Hire, train, and manage office staff
  
• Ensure that appropriate internal control measures are followed
  
• Provide financial and data analysis as needed for special projects
  
• Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
  
• Recognize when and how to be effective, collaborative, and assertive when improvement opportunities arise
  
• Work as a team member with company accounting staff and management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field – CPA a plus
  
• 2 – 8 years progressive work experience in accounting or finance
  
• Preference for experience in manufacturing environments, with focus on revenue streams and financial analysis
  
• Significant experience with general ledger functions
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products with advanced knowledge utilizing Excel
  
• Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve problems
  
• Proven leadership and communication skills
  
• Professional demeanor, with ability to work in a team environment
  
• Understand appropriate discretion with confidential Company information

The general wage range for this position at Sierra Pacific Industries is from $80,000 and $120,000 per year, and is dependent upon a number of factors, including, but not limited to: relevant work experience, skill, knowledge, and/or education.
