MACHINING OPERATOR | ATHENS, AL

Pay: $18.30/hour
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 10:30 PM–6:30 AM (3rd Shift)
Training: 1 week on 1st shift, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Impulse is hiring a Machining Operator in Athens, AL. This position involves operating CNC and assembly machines to produce quality aluminum parts. Candidates should have previous forklift or tugger experience and a background in manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environments.

What You'll Do

• Load and unload aluminum castings from CNC and assembly machines.

• Monitor machine output to ensure parts meet quality specifications.

• Perform quality checks on finished products.

• Straighten and polish aluminum castings using pneumatic equipment and hand tools.

• Perform machine setups, changeovers, and preventive maintenance after training.

• Identify damaged materials, report shortages, and communicate quality issues.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 2 years of forklift or tugger operating experience.

• At least 12 months of continuous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environment (or equivalent military experience).

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Excellent hand-eye coordination.

• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
