Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Perimeter Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.89 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public agencies as directed.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorized entry, and maintain awareness of visitor and vehicle activity in accordance with site policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• A DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate is required.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
