In this position, you will work with workshop equipment, mechanical maintenance, and assembly activities while helping ensure production specifications, schedules, quality standards, cost targets, and waste reduction goals are achieved. You will contribute directly to safe and efficient operations in a local manufacturing environment, solving day-to-day challenges that require practical analysis and sound judgment. This is an opportunity to develop your expertise, work independently, and support the success of critical flow control solutions.

Your responsibilities

  • Operate workshop machines and equipment safely and according to established instructions for Valve and Services operations.
  • Support manufacturing activities in line with production specifications, schedules, quality standards, volume targets, cost objectives, and waste reduction requirements.

  • Pack, sort, organize, and move raw materials and finished products as required.
  • Collect, segregate, and dispose of production waste in accordance with company waste-handling and recycling procedures.
  • Clean workshop equipment and maintain work areas to meet health, safety, and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform mechanical maintenance activities for rollers and other equipment.
  • Carry out assembly work and workshop-related tasks to support operational requirements.
  • Assist in training and supporting less experienced employees when needed.
  • Complete other duties assigned by the Workshop Supervisor.

Expectations from you

  • Diploma (D3) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience with broad knowledge of operational procedures and workshop tools.
  • Fresh graduates with a Mechanical Engineering background are also welcome to apply.
  • Experience in the pulp and paper industry is considered an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with limited supervision.
  • Strong understanding of work instructions, operational procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Ability to meet production specifications, schedules, quality standards, and cost targets.
  • Physical strength and willingness to perform hands-on workshop work.
  • Strong analytical approach to resolving non-routine operational challenges.
  • Willingness to work in Pekanbaru.

To succeed in this role

Success in this role requires hands-on mechanical and workshop experience, a strong commitment to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work independently while meeting operational targets. You will need practical problem-solving skills to analyze and address non-routine challenges, along with the flexibility to support maintenance, assembly, and production activities across the workshop environment.
