Sales Director (Singapore)

12 Months FTC

As our business continues to grow and reach new heights, we are looking for a commercially sharp Sales Director to join us as we continue to scale across APAC. This is a hunter role, focused on opening doors and winning new clients across embedded teams, creative studio services, AI, and consulting. You’ll work with our management team to own and manage the sales process, set up commercial targets, and build a solid pipeline of new business opportunities. You’ll have the trust and empowerment of the management team to move the needle. 

Role: 

• Drive new business strategies, proactively source outbound leads, and nurture inbound opportunities globally, with a focus on APAC.
• Leverage an existing network of CMOs, Marketing Directors, and Procurement leads to drive new business.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to plan and execute agency sales and marketing strategies, including campaigns and events, to acquire new leads.
• Measure all sales activity using CRM tools, owning pipeline reporting and revenue forecasting, which will be reviewed quarterly with leadership.
• Lead proposal development, scope definition, and pricing across all service lines.
• Develop compelling pitch materials, project manage pitch teams, create case studies, and present credentials to clients.
• Prioritise engagements with at least a 6-month commitment over short, low-value projects.
• Negotiate MSAs, SOWs, and fee structures, protecting margins and ensuring no discounts below agreed thresholds without approval from the Finance Director and CEO.
• Ensure a structured, documented handover of new clients to Operations and account leads, translating commercial agreements into clear scopes, resourcing, KPIs, and delivery expectations.
• Flag non-standard terms and risks early so they can be priced in accurately.
• Oversee budget planning and fiscal management processes with a strong focus on driving results.

You: 

• ~12 to 15+ years in the industry, with at least 5 years in a pure new-business role within an advertising, creative, consulting, or marketing agency.
• A hunter mentality with strategic thinking, chasing profitable growth rather than just volume.
• Proven track record of winning new logos, closing large retainers or embedded team deals, and managing a full-funnel sales cycle.
• Senior network across the Singapore and APAC marketing community, with established relationships with senior decision-makers in technology, FMCG, financial services, or relevant industries.
• Experience working in other APAC markets, bringing a global outlook.
• Strong commercial acumen and financial literacy: able to price a deal, read a P&L, understand diverse business processes, and protect margins.
• Experience selling AI, technology-led, or managed services is a strong plus, alongside a curiosity about AI and how it's changing the way brands work.
• Confident presenter and negotiator, comfortable leading conversations at the CMO and C-suite level, as well as with global procurement teams.
• Strong communicator with demonstrated success in handling and communicating complex or sensitive business issues to senior management.
• Self-driven, highly organised, and able to build a pipeline from scratch with limited oversight while easily navigating various roles and personality types.
• A positive individual who can motivate and inspire, demonstrating a high tolerance and appreciation towards ambiguity and change.
