North Shop Mechanic

Description

We at Litman Excavating are looking for experienced diesel or equipment Technician

General duties may include but are not limited to:

• General preventative maintenance on dump trucks, vacuum trucks, tractors, and equipment
• Troubleshooting any and all faults indicated by onboard systems, drivers or other personnel
• Perform authorized warranty work on new fleet vehicles (no previous certification needed)
• Use shop provided scan tools to assist in diagnosing faults

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Punctual attendance
• Willingness to learn and take direction from Senior staff
• Have your own tools or be willing to purchase them as needed
• Strong work ethic and moral base
• One year of verifiable experience in a shop, manufacturing, or industrial role that would have transferable knowledge
• Basic knowledge of diesel engines and commercial vehicles

Preferred Experience

• Diesel aftertreatment in both trucks and equipment
• Base engine building
• Manufacture training courses or certificates
• Ability to weld
