Description
Position: Field Service Engineer / Technician (PCB Equipment)
Location: Penang
Start Date: June 2026
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer/Technician to join our team. This role focuses on providing after-sales service and maintenance support for PCB manufacturing equipment at customer sites. Training will be provided, including overseas exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and maintain equipment (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, control systems)
- Perform installation, setup, and commissioning at customer sites
- Handle equipment hook-up, calibration, alignment, and system checks
- Support machine start-up, upgrades, and retrofits
- Work closely with customers’ engineering and facilities teams
- Assist in testing, qualification (SAT/FAT), and handover
- Provide basic operation and maintenance training to customers
- Prepare service reports and documentation
- Coordinate with equipment suppliers for technical support
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field
- Basic knowledge of PLCs, sensors, motors, pneumatics, and vacuum systems
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Experience in PCB/semiconductor equipment is an advantage
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply (1 year experience preferred)
- Able to travel (local & overseas) and possess own transport
- Mandarin (mandatory) and English required
- Good communication skills, proactive, and team-oriented
