Schedule:Mix of clinic, inpatient rounding, and procedural/surgical volume (230 working days annually)

This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.

What You Will Do

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated gastroenterologist to help support a growing practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.

 

• Join a growing team of 3 physicians and 1 APP
• Practice setting: mix of inpatient, outpatient clinic, and procedures
• Access to ASC, inpatient procedure rooms 
• Employed position within a nonprofit health system
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
• Champion the care team experience for loved ones 
• Facilitate practice growth and quality outcomes
• Collaborate with colleagues to foster a highly efficient practice model

About the Facility

• Sacred Heart Bay opened in 1949 and was acquired by Ascension in 2019 to further the Sacred Heart mission in the Panama City community: providing excellent health care to all people, with special attention to the poor and vulnerable.
• 200 bed Level II Trauma Center (Part of a robust clinical network with our sister facilities in Pensacola, Destin, and Port St. Joe, FL)

• Integrated referral network (largest employed primary care network in NW FL)

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Florida Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
