Company Description
We're representing a Series B consumer marketplace that is redefining the hospitality experience. This company allows users to book access to luxury hotel amenities—such as pools, spas, and beach clubs—without the need for an overnight stay. With millions of customers and partnerships with major hotel brands, they are entering a significant growth phase as they rebuild core parts of their product and expand internationally.
What You Will Do
- Own major initiatives end-to-end across high-traffic surfaces, starting with Search Results and Details, with clear goals around Core Web Vitals, SEO, and conversion.
- Lead technical design for large changes, driving alignment with Product and Design teams while making pragmatic trade-offs.
- Define and implement reusable patterns in a Next.js App Router codebase, focusing on routing, data fetching, and component architecture.
- Raise the quality bar through standards, code reviews, and mentorship, helping junior engineers level up quickly.
- Improve developer velocity by shaping tooling and practices, including testing strategies and observability.
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers on API contracts to enhance frontend performance and iteration speed.
Ideal Candidate Background
- 7+ years of experience building production web applications, with a strong foundation in computer science.
- Deep expertise in React and Next.js, with experience in building SSR/SPA hybrid applications.
- Proven track record of leading projects end-to-end, from design through to launch and iteration.
- Strong understanding of frontend systems design, including performance optimization and component architecture.
- Experience working on high-traffic consumer or marketplace products, demonstrating a product-focused mindset.
Preferred
- Experience with Core Web Vitals and SEO optimization.
- Background in startups, particularly in Series A–C funding stages.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Playwright and observability tools like Datadog.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary for this role ranges from $170,000 to $210,000, commensurate with experience, along with equity options. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-growing company.
