Employment Type: Full-Time; 40 hours/week guaranteed

Schedule: Wednesday-Friday 12pm-9pm, Tuesday + Saturday 7am-4pm; flexibility for overnights at least 2x/month with advance notice

Compensation: $35-$38/hour, based on experience

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States
• Maintain a smoke-free environment
• Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided)
• Must love kindergarteners and teenagers
• Comfortable caring for an intelligent, precocious child with medical needs; clinical or caregiving backgrounds (nursing, PT, special education, psychology) preferred
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs
• Strong swimmer
• Comfortable around dogs
• Passion for preparing healthy, nourishing family meals; familiarity with anti-inflammatory cooking is a plus
• Optimistic outlook on life

• Strong Scheduling & Coordination Skills: Skilled at managing complex family calendars, coordinating multiple children’s overlapping sports and activities, and solving for logistics across a dynamic weekly schedule
• Experienced & Confident Family Cook: Comfortable meal planning and cooking 5x/week, preparing healthy, protein-forward meals, managing grocery shopping, and supporting a consistent family dinner routine that is central to daily life
• Medically Comfortable & Calm Under Pressure: Fully at ease in a medically complex environment, including supporting a child with serious illness, administering basic medications, recognizing when escalation is needed, and transporting a child to medical care when required
• Warm, Steady Presence with Children & Teens: Comfortable engaging with kids of varying ages, especially teenagers, by being warm, approachable, and trusted in the home
• Highly Discreet & Trustworthy: Understands the importance of confidentiality in a close-knit community, able to protect family privacy
• Flexible, Adaptable & Independent: Comfortable with shifting schedules, overnights, occasional weekends, and independently running the household during travel/periods of heightened medical need

Key Responsibilities

Family Support & Child Assistance

• School and activity pick-ups/drop-offs 3x/week
• Supervision of children/back-up childcare
• Administering medication to school-aged daughter
• Occasional overnight/weekend care at least 2x/month
• Prep backpacks/clothing/snacks

Meal Planning & Prep

• Prep healthy, protein-forward meals/snacks/breakfasts 5x/week
• Batch-cooking of meals/snacks to leave fridge stocked for days off
• Prep school lunches
• Grocery shopping for recipe items and pantry/fridge staples
• Follow dietary needs and preferences
• Kitchen clean-up and maintenance
• Occasional deep cleaning of fridge and disposal of expired items

Administrative & Personal Assistant Support

• Calendar management of household schedules, including looking ahead for bottlenecks and identifying solutions
• Travel planning and logistics
• Household email management
• Receipt/budget tracking of expenses incurred as Household Manager
• Event and appointment coordination, including children’s activities/camps

Inventory & Errands

• Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies
• Manage running household supply lists
• Manage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon/Costco/Target)
• Returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping/wrapping
• Mail and package handling
• Breakdown boxes

Household Management & Organization

• Create and maintain household organization systems
• Daily resets and prep home for weekly cleaners, including directing them on priorities for day
• Light tidying including putting away dishes, wiping surfaces, and vacuuming high-traffic areas
• Seasonal swaps of clothing, décor, bedding
• Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs
• Event/holiday/guest prep
• Packing/unpacking for travel
• Indoor plant care
• Change batteries, light bulbs, smoke detectors, etc.

Vendor & Property Oversight

• Oversee cleaners, contractors, landscapers
• Research and coordinate repairs and quotes
• Water lawn and outdoor plants
• Clean outdoor furniture and cushions
• Sweep porch/deck

Vehicle Management

• Schedule maintenance
• Fueling, cleaning, and organizing of vehicles
• Track registration and insurance

Pet Care

• Walking dog 1x/day
• Vet/grooming scheduling as needed
