Job Description
As a Security Officer Communications Center in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch professional at a dynamic tech and telecommunications location, where you will monitor activity, coordinate communications, and help support timely responses to security-related concerns. - Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by following site-specific procedures, handling incoming calls and radio traffic, and supporting security-related dispatch operations.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, communication systems, and/or incident reporting tools, and respond to routine and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Coordinate the dispatch of security-related personnel to incidents, service requests, and/or emergency situations, while maintaining clear communication with site contacts and first responders as appropriate.
- Document incidents, activities, and/or communication logs accurately, and help to support continuity of operations within a fast-paced technology location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as needed, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns according to site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
