General Warehouse Operative (Mandarin Speaking)
Location: Desford
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00
Are you looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced and supportive environment? We are seeking a motivated General Warehouse Operative to join our growing team in Desford. The Role
As a General Warehouse Operative, you will be at the heart of our warehouse operation, helping to ensure goods are received, stored, packed, and dispatched efficiently. Working alongside a friendly team, you will contribute to meeting daily targets while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- Safely handling and moving stock, including heavy lifting of up to 20kg
- Storing products in designated warehouse locations
- Conducting stock checks and supporting inventory management
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Operating warehouse equipment, including pallet trucks and forklifts (full training provided where required)
- Following all health and safety procedures and company policies
What We're Looking For
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience is beneficial but not essential
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a busy environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Physically fit and comfortable with regular manual handling
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Fluent in English and Mandarin
- Additional Mandarin language skills are highly advantageous
