Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire an Outpatient Services Manager.
As the Outpatient Services Manager, you will provide overall direction for the practice and delivery of patient care in the Emergency, Trauma, Emergency Preparedness and Cardiopulmonary departments in accordance with hospital guidelines and organizational philosophies. This includes oversight of management of human and material resources in accordance with hospital, state and federal regulations (such as Joint Commission and Critical Access Hospital standards). Key accountabilities include fostering interdisciplinary collaborative relationships; using critical thinking, designing/implementing performance improvement strategies based on data; and promoting evidence-based practice. Meets PCA specific RN core competencies.
Report To: Chief Nurse Executive
Supervisory Responsibility: Large Group Responsibility (Multiple Shift): The job requires direct supervision of more than 12 employees. Job duties include the full range of supervisory activities such as hiring, training, assigning, monitoring and assessing work, promoting etc. Work involves ensuring that human resource related decisions are compatible with the organization's policies, practices and direction. Incumbent has multiple shift responsibilities for staff.
Materials Responsibility: Moderate: Work requires moderate responsibility for material resources. Examples of resources could include operating budgets for a work unit or department, specialized equipment, costly or unusual materials or supplies, large amounts of cash or other material assets. The employee has a moderate amount of control over these resources. The cost of errors might result in moderate damage, waste or financial loss. The difficulty, variety and depth of problems associated with these material resources is moderately complex.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Field Of Study: Nursing
Special Training: Basic Life Support
Training Preferred: Masters Degree in Nursing
Licensure/Registration: Registered Nurse in Iowa
Experience: More than 3 years experience required.
