We are looking for a talented and motivated candidate to join our Client Support Services (CSS) NA Team based in Mexico’s Office (Torre Mayor): Administrative Treaty Reinsurance VP

What can you expect?

Client Support Services (CSS) is comprised of global service teams who are assigned to specific client (customer) accounts to handle contracts, claims and accounting. 

In this role you will be an integral member of Guy Carpenter’s a business by Marsh CSS Team leading Transactional Service’s activities because of clients and reinsurers interactions and processes, being responsible for processing technical transactions (e.g., settlement / payment and reporting) and ensuring they meet applicable payment warranties and/or conditions.

We will count on you to:

  • Analyses operational issues within direct area of responsibility; maintains robust operational management discipline using metrics, and ensures all colleagues operate within published procedures and professional standards in order to achieve all processing metrics and department standards.
  • Follows up on operations to ensure that assigned task that are complex in nature are managed effectively and in a timely manner ensuring Client measurement Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are adhered to, in order to provide services in an efficient, effective and regulatory compliant manner.
  • Leads team meetings and activities to promote the sharing of opinions, ideas, knowledge and solutions, approves inputs received for the evolution of the operational model at all levels of the organization, creates, and where required, leads change efforts, projects, quick wins, questions what next and encourages ideas in order to promote new process improvement ideas that leverage technology solutions and to improve provision of service.
  • Analyses individual performance and development plans for each team member with effective mentoring, providing inputs on performance feedback and all people related matters including recruiting, salary/bonus, performance management, training, talent mapping, succession planning, status changes, etc . and manages training sessions for all CSS colleagues as applicable in order to support, and guidance to less experienced Colleagues and help develop department resources.
  • Creates a travel and expense operating budget for the team in order to manage costs, working within budgetary/financial objectives for the team.
  • Creates Senior Leadership service activity reporting and presents technical information for Management and Leadership to ensure documentation for the purpose of decision making
  • Collaborates with peers on complex and contentious reinsurance developments internally and promotes and maintains relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets to support the team and/or department externally for all aspects of reinsurance service processing and to understand and resolve problems for all external stakeholders
  • Directs individuals to assess and submit client and/or reinsurer presentation materials and communications to resolve difficult questions and secure reinsurer agreements and payments of claims and account balances.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) 4 Year College Degree (B.S. or B.A)

  • 7+ years minimum of professional experience in administrative activities in reinsurance especially in Treaty (premiums and claims)

  • Minimum of 4 years managing teams

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Positive attitude, willingness to offer and execute ideas and solutions to enhance processes within a changing environment.

  • Successful management of workload; able to manage expectations of internal Clients and Stakeholders.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal, always delivering clear and concise messages and promoting and enhancing the Guy Carpenter brand.

  • Consistently deliver superior Client service.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.

  • Advanced English proficiency is a must
