We have fantastic full-time opportunities for a day-shift and rotating-shift Maintenance Fitters to join our Maintenance team based out of Tomoana, New Zealand!

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Be the main on-shift contact for urgent maintenance issues, responding quickly to breakdowns across all production lines.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, air, hydraulic, and (where licensed) electrical faults.
Prioritise work based on impact on production, food safety risk, and urgency, escalating complex or high-risk issues as required.
Provide maintenance cover across multiple departments and step in when other technicians are unavailable.
Complete assigned scheduled maintenance tasks and support weekend and shutdown maintenance plans.
Identify emerging equipment risks, investigate failures, spot repeat issues, and recommend long-term fixes and reliability improvements.
Follow all required lockout/isolation and permit processes and maintain required food safety and housekeeping standards.
Communicate clearly with relevant teams, provide shift handovers and operator coaching where appropriate, and record work accurately in the maintenance system.
About you:
NZQA Level 4 Mechanical Trade Certificate (Fitter/Turner or Mechanical Engineering) required.
Limited Electrical License is advantageous.
Seamer experience (Petfood department Technician).
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs is desirable.
Practical mechanical experience with tools, sensors, and machine timing.
Experience in FMCG/high-speed food manufacturing.
Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
Effective written and oral communication across all levels.
Team player, self-motivated, with strong attention to detail.
Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Work environment & schedule: potential call-in, off-shift and weekend support, or shift coverage as the business requires.
