JOB OVERVIEW
The Kids’ Club Coordinator supports the daily operation of the resort’s child-minding program by coordinating activities, maintaining accurate records, supporting team members, and creating a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for children and families. This role serves as a lead resource during assigned shifts and helps ensure consistent service and operational standards.

The coordinator works closely with the Kids’ Club Supervisor to support staffing, programming, special events, parent communication, safety compliance, and team training while delivering personalized service to members and guests.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinate daily Kids’ Club activities and support the smooth operation of all childcare spaces during assigned shifts.
  • Provide attentive supervision of children and maintain a safe, positive, inclusive, and engaging environment.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact during assigned shifts and communicate operational, staffing, safety, or guest-service concerns to the Kids’ Club Supervisor.
  • Support team schedules, staff assignments, and required child-to-staff ratios in coordination with the Kids’ Club Supervisor.
  • Assist with training, coaching, and onboarding Kids’ Club Providers on service, safety, sanitation, and program procedures.
  • Plan, prepare, and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, recreational activities, and enrichment programming.
  • Coordinate check-in and check-out procedures and ensure attendance, authorization, billing, and other required records are accurate.
  • Maintain current child records, including emergency contacts, medical information, allergies, and other documented needs.
  • Communicate proactively and professionally with parents and guardians regarding schedules, activities, policies, and their child’s experience.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of birthday parties, group reservations, camps, family programs, and resort special events.
  • Monitor childcare rooms, play areas, toys, supplies, and equipment to ensure they remain clean, sanitized, organized, and ready for use.
  • Follow all applicable state and local requirements and resort policies related to childcare, safety, sanitation, confidentiality, incident reporting, and emergency response.
  • Maintain required certifications, including CPR/First Aid/AED, and support required safety drills and training.
  • Collaborate with the Kids’ Club Supervisor, Camp Coordinator, Sports Club departments, and resort teams to provide a consistent member and guest experience.
  • Contribute to overall resort success by completing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must be at least 18 years of age and meet all applicable regulatory requirements for the position.

Minimum of one year of experience in childcare, youth programming, camp operations, recreation, education, or a related setting.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities, organize daily priorities, and provide direction to team members.

Knowledge of child safety practices, age-appropriate programming, and positive behavior-management techniques.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, members, guests, and team members.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Ability to exercise sound judgment, remain calm during emergencies, and communicate concerns promptly.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive child, family, and team-member information appropriately.

Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required or ability to obtain certification within a designated timeframe after hire.

Ability to successfully complete all required background checks, screenings, and training.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to meet the physical demands of the position.

Preferred:

Associate degree or coursework in a related field and previous lead or coordinating experience.

All employees must learn and comply with all Resort safety rules; must use appropriate safety equipment at all times; must immediately report all unsafe conditions to supervisors; must be familiar with all safety features or equipment, machinery or materials encompassed by job duties; and must check with supervisor if there is a question as to the safe procedure to be used for any job function.
