As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the transportation and logistics of goods and services to our customers. You will be called upon to address customer concerns by applying relative concepts, methodologies, procedures and approaches to the task.
As a Logistics Specialist - Logistics, you will be responsible for:
Maintaining the highest level of integrity and ethics in all dealings with both internal & external customers and suppliers.
Leading in resolution of significant logistical dispute issues and identifying improvement opportunities.
Supporting and acting as Operations / Customer / Government liaison on logistical matters.
Ensuring all Baker Hughes Global Logistics & Trade Compliance Policies, Guidelines and strategic requirements are met and related strategies employed
Managing all Baker Hughes Imports + Exports transactions related to Baker Hughes business
Reviewing all invoices submitted by Freight Forwarders that they meet the compliant requirements for logistics invoices in the company.
Updating and maintaining shipping instructions into the country with all approved Freight Forwarders and Baker Hughes export Hubs.
Liaising with Freight Forwarders to export/Import cargo compliantly while improving lead times and cost structure.
Maintaining and sharing track and trace reports weekly for all Baker Hughes Imports and export transaction

To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Have at least 4 years of experience in Logistics
Have experience within the Oil and Gas industry
Be a good communicator and be fluent in English
Be a team player with excellent interpersonal & leadership skills.
Be able to work during public holidays, weekends and after office hours when operations require such hours to work.
Be able to travel to other Baker Hughes locations as the need comes.
Able to work independently, demonstrate the ability to problem solve and identify solutions.
