Description
High-growth, well-funded genetics startup is looking for an Executive Assistant to support their Founder & CEO. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly alongside a deeply mission-driven founder building a category-defining company backed by top-tier investors. In this role, you'll own calendar and inbox management, coordinate frequent travel, and act as a true partner and extension of the CEO, anticipating needs before they're asked and keeping his day running smoothly. You'll also take on light office management and jump in on ad hoc projects as they come up. Someone who is highly intuitive, extremely detail-oriented, and proactive, with the instinct to preempt rather than wait to be told, will thrive here. This is an in-office role, 5 days/week, based in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood. 120-150K DOE + equity, benefits, 401K with match, and PTO.
- Manage complex, fast-changing calendars, resolving conflicts and shifting priorities proactively rather than reactively.
- Own inbox management, including prioritizing, flagging, and drafting responses on the CEO's behalf.
- Coordinate frequent domestic (and occasional international) travel, often on short notice.
- Anticipate needs before being asked, functioning as an extension of the CEO's thinking rather than waiting for direction.
- Provide light office management support, including greeting guests and keeping the space organized.
- Take on ad hoc special projects and operational tasks as they arise.
- Provide light personal support (appointments, personal travel) as needed.
- Previous experience supporting a founder, CEO, or senior executive in a fast-paced startup environment preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills and extreme attention to detail.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented, with the instinct to preempt needs rather than wait for direction.
- Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy and minimal oversight; able to hit the ground running.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to move fluidly across Slack, text, phone, and in-person communication.
- Warm, low-ego, and highly discreet, with sound judgment around confidential information.
- Genuinely comfortable with and curious about the company's mission and the nature of its work.
- Thrives in an in-office, high-energy startup culture where priorities can shift quickly.
- Proficient with standard workplace tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, or similar); comfort with AI tools is a plus.
*Please Note: Your application will be considered for all open positions. You do not need to apply for multiple roles.
