We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Racket Attendant to join our team. The Racket Attendant will be responsible for the proper maintenance of our tennis and pickleball courts, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our guests and clients. The ideal candidate should have experience working with Har-Tru material, be familiar with irrigation systems, and possess acceptable communication skills to ensure our guests have a memorable experience on the courts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Court Maintenance:
- Take care of the tennis courts and pickleball courts, ensuring they are well-maintained and in top playing condition.
- Work with Har-Tru material, including the processes of irrigation, rolling, and removing dead material from the courts.
- Conduct regular inspections of the courts to identify any issues and address them promptly.
- Report any significant maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
- Maintain accurate Maintenance records activities and materials used.
Customer Service:
- Communicate with guests and clients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ensure seamless arrival and departure process to courts and accurately describe facility and rental equipment.
- Anticipate and fulfill the needs of players, ensuring they have a positive experience on the courts.
- Provide guests with all necessary equipment for playing, such as balls, rackets, paddles, and tennis shoes.
- Offer guidance and assistance to players, including information on water and towel access.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints with empathy and strive for prompt resolution.
Daily Operations:
- Work five shifts a week to cover the required court maintenance and customer service hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the racket attendant area, including the podium and water station.
- Ensure that the courts are properly prepared and marked for play each day.
- Keep the tennis area, including stadium "seats," free from dust and debris.
- Assist in setting up and coordinating tennis and pickleball tournaments.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in court maintenance, particularly with Har Tru material, is preferred.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and court maintenance equipment.
- Moderate communication skills in English to interact effectively with guests and clients.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to anticipate and address players' needs.
- Attentive and proactive in maintaining court conditions and providing exceptional playing experience.
