Description
Purpose:
To install HV Cable accessories and carry out other associated works.
Summary of the Job Role:
Install HV cable Joints and terminations
Installation of Link Boxes and other associated accessories
Support during testing of HV cables e.g. installation of test busing and test adaptor etc.
Repair of HV cables
Maintenance of tools and other equipment’s
This position is designed to be approximately 100% on site; external travel when required. Flexible approach to working hours, travel and work location is a must.
Key Deliverables:
Preparation/readiness of cable and perform necessary checks
Installation of HV cable joints as per the mounting instructions of accessory vendor.
Installation of Cable sealing end as per the mounting instruction of accessory vendor.
Bonding Cable connection and Link Box Installation.
Installation of Earthing cable at joint bay and cable sealing ends
Supervise Cable laying works at project site.
Supervise installation of cable support structures.
PD Sensor cable connections in the joint/sealing end and PD terminal Box.
Provide necessary support during HV cable test bushing and test adaptor installation/dismantling.
Provide support during site commissioning tests
Repair of HV cable and other associated works.
Proper maintenance of cable jointing tools and other machinery which falls under their responsibility.
Purchase consumable items and other associated material.
Site Progress reporting to project manager.
Maintain the validity of certificates and inform management for renewal in case of expiry.
Being able to take safety document or work permit from client.
Ensure all processes and procedures are followed at working site.
Coordinate with customer project site staff
Ensure strict compliance to the accessories manufacturers mounting instructions.
Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and safe working practices.

Qualifications:
Degree/Diploma in relevant field
Experience certificates
Certification in HV Accessories installation
First Aid Certificate up to date
Basic Electrical Safety
Skills/Knowledge:
Integrity, loyalty, and discrete personality.
Teamwork and service orientation.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively develop comprehensive written and presentation material.
Time Management skills.
Self-motivated, keen to learn new things and able to work under different conditions
Able to take challenging and leading role
Experience:
Overall 10-15 years of experience.
At least 2 years’ experience in jointing of 132kV Prysmian’s accessories
Work experience in the Middle East is preferred.
