Job Summary
The Mobile Mammography Driver & Patient Registration Representative plays a dual role in supporting community breast health services by safely operating and transporting a mobile mammography unit to designated locations while providing exceptional patient registration and customer service support. This position serves as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming experience and efficient registration process.
The ideal candidate will possess a valid CDL-B license, strong driving abilities, and outstanding customer service skills. Responsibilities include transporting the mobile mammography bus to various community sites, setting up for daily operations, registering patients for appointments, verifying demographic information, confirming insurance eligibility and coverage, collecting and documenting payment information, and ensuring all patient records are accurate and compliant with organizational policies. This role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to provide compassionate service while working in a mobile healthcare environment.
Essential Functions
- Assists with the coordination of the daily activities of the Parking and Transportation department, making adjustments as needed to meet the needs of the organization
- Provides consistent direction, communication and leadership to employees. Responds in a timely manner to all requests and issues of concern
- Coordinates employee orientation, training, and manages staff schedule. Provides continued mentoring to employees
- Must have basic mechanical understanding of the operations of a vehicle and be able to identify mechanical and safety issues. Will be responsible for the scheduling of the department vehicle repairs
- Implements and evaluates work flow practices. Makes recommendations to improve efficiency to the processes
Qualifications
Required
- Must be at least 21 years of age Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of relevant experience customer service or related field Required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
- LIC-Commercial Drive License - STATE_MI State of Michigan 30 Days required
- LIC-Drivers License - Endorsement A (Air Brakes) - STATE_MI State of Michigan 30 Days required
Preferred
- Associate's Degree
- Supervisory experience Preferred
