Multi Skilled Trades Operative

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in North Northamptonshire to assist with the appointment of a Multi Skilled Trades Operative, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £17.40 - £23.98 per hour

Summary:

We're looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Trade Operative to join the Housing Maintenance team, carrying out repairs and refurbishment across council housing stock and corporate properties.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out responsive repairs and refurbishment works to council properties.
• Complete work orders to specification and schedule of rates.
• Operate safely in line with Health & Safety procedures and asbestos regulations.
• Use PDA/mobile devices to manage work orders and records.
• Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota when required.

Qualifications:

• Recognised trade qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)

Essentials:

• Time-served apprenticeship
• Practical experience in housing maintenance and repairs
• Multi-skilled trade experience
• Good knowledge of health and safety practices
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota
