Responsibilities
As The COMSEC Engineer Team Lead you will provide senior technical and functional leadership for communications security support, including COMSEC account-related activities, secure communications support, coordination of cryptographic material handling requirements, and integration of COMSEC considerations into secure operational environments.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead COMSEC-related support activities and coordinate team performance across assigned mission requirements.
- Provide technical oversight for COMSEC operations, controls, and procedures involving cryptographic material, equipment, and secure communications support.
- Support secure facility set-up, classified communications requirements, and integration of COMSEC considerations with broader security and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with Government personnel on COMSEC account practices, inventories, incident support, and related documentation, as applicable.
- Support related TEMPEST or secure communications protection activities when required by the mission environment.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant discipline and 10 years of directly relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline plus 14 years of directly related work experience.
- Experience must include support to Special Access Program and Sensitive Compartmented Information environments
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively across Government, contractor, and external stakeholders; prepare briefings, reports, standard operating procedures, and official correspondence; and lead a team in fast paced classified environments.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; must be able to meet any applicable Special Access Program eligibility requirements identified by the Government.
