Salary: Up to £68,290.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Circle Health Group Decontamination is responsible for the provision of sterile equipment and instrumentation for use in surgical and interventional procedures in hospitals across England and Glasgow. The unit operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week with rotating shifts covering days and nights as required.

We have an opportunity for a Unit Manager to join their team of staff in the Decontamination department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Lead, motivate and manage the Decontamination Unit team, ensuring staff are trained, developed, and competent to deliver an outstanding sterile service.
• Provide strategic direction for the unit, supporting the delivery of national and local business objectives and driving continuous improvement.
• Hold full operational responsibility for the Glasgow Decontamination facility, delivering safe and compliant service provision across all shifts.
• Maintain accreditation with the British Standards Institute and registration with the MHRA, ensuring full compliance with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and the applicable Medical Device Regulations.
• Develop internal and external business opportunities through strong customer relationships, trust-building, and quality service delivery.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance development for unit staff.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Proven leadership experience in sterile services or decontamination environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of ISO standards (13485 / 9001) and MHRA regulatory requirements.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grades 4/C or above).
• Sound financial acumen and ability to manage operational budgets.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire and lead diverse teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Confident decision-maker with the ability to analyse data and implement effective solutions.
• IT literate and proficient in using management and quality systems.
• Willingness to work flexibly across shift patterns and attend site as required.
