Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting the Brazil Credit Risk team through a broad range of activities, from governance, regulatory reporting, and committee management to credit risk modeling, portfolio oversight, and credit underwriting across Corporate, Financial Institutions, and CBK portfolios. The role provides broad exposure to Brazil Credit Risk activities and requires close partnership with business teams, senior management, auditors, regulators, and control functions.
Responsibilities:
- Support Credit Risk governance activities, including committee management and the preparation of materials, presentations and reporting for senior management forums such as BCRC, BMRC, ALCO, CLT, and other governance committees.
- Serve as Secretary of the Brazil Credit Risk Committee (BCRC), ensuring effective committee governance and documentation.
- Produce recurring Credit Risk reporting and contribute to regulatory and management disclosures, including Pillar 3, Financial Statements, Internal Control Reports, Capital Plan, and other local governance requirements.
- Support the governance, execution, maintenance, oversight, and reporting of Key Credit Risk frameworks and processes, including the Brazil Expected Credit Loss Model (including monthly calculations, model reviews and controls), Stress Testing exercises, Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) metrics monitoring, and reporting of emerging risks and potential limit breaches.
- Monitor portfolio credit quality, emerging risks, industry dynamics, concentration exposures, and assess the impact of macroeconomic, geopolitical, and sector-specific developments on portfolio performance and risk appetite metrics.
- Conduct independent credit risk analysis and support credit approval, annual review, risk rating, and portfolio monitoring activities across Corporate, Financial Institutions, and CBK-s clients.
- Partner with business teams, Credit Officers, and senior stakeholders on risk assessment, portfolio developments, and credit-related matters.
- Support interactions with Internal Audit, External Audit, regulators, and other control functions.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Credit Risk policies, procedures, governance documentation, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Support the incorporation of Social, Environmental, and Climate Risk considerations into Credit Risk governance, reporting, monitoring, and risk assessment processes.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Credit Risk, Portfolio Management, Regulatory Reporting, Banking, or related fields.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of credit risk management principles and banking regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with stakeholders across different functions.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
