The Position
IT Project/Delivery Manager - Pharma R&D
Introduction
The Delivery Management Professional (SE6) leads moderately complex deliveries, proactively identifies improvements, manages diverse stakeholders, and contributes to strategic implementation. In this role, you will independently define and control the scope of medium to large initiatives, utilizing effective facilitation and analytical skills to drive value delivery. While navigating intricate stakeholder environments, you will connect team development with broader business objectives. Depending on the organization's needs, you may operate within role archetypes such as Project Manager, Service (Delivery) Manager, ITSM Process SME, Scrum Master, RTE, or Agile Coach.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will have the chance to lead impactful initiatives within our Pharma R&D informatics landscape. You will be responsible for:
Leading Delivery Excellence: Independently define, manage, and control the scope of medium to large initiatives or significant workstreams with moderate complexity.
Strategic Alignment: Facilitate the scope definition process to ensure every project aligns perfectly with Roche’s strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Proactive Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and mitigate scope-related risks while championing the adoption of best-in-class management practices.
Complex Problem Solving: Drive root cause analysis for delivery challenges and elicit complex stakeholder needs to ensure robust solution design
Stakeholder Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor by developing comprehensive communication plans and navigating intricate environments to ensure alignment.
Driving Value: Ensure consistent value delivery across specific products or clusters, actively shaping team processes to achieve domain goals.
Methodology Mastery: Select and tailor delivery methodologies—from Agile to Waterfall—to optimize results and manage dependencies effectively.
Business Transformation: Utilize your business acumen to translate complex needs into effective delivery strategies and advanced planning.
Who you are
You are a proactive leader who thrives in ambiguous environments and is passionate about connecting team development with business impact. You bring:
Proven Experience: A solid track record operating as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, or RTE managing medium to large-scale initiatives.
Educational Background: A University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
Expert Delivery: Demonstrated experience managing the delivery of complex features, such as service transitions or ART increments, across functional areas.
Strategic Planning: Proven ability to translate requirements into strategic implementation plans and contribute to business forecasting.
Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills used to drive root cause analysis and propose comprehensive, data-driven improvement plans.
Collaboration & Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to facilitate workshops and resolve conflicts professionally.
Mentorship & Coaching: A strong coaching mindset focused on building team spirit, championing accountability, and mentoring colleagues.
