Description
The Lead Neurodiagnostic Technologist is responsible for coordinating all duties associated with the Neurodiagnostic Lab. Responsible for maintaining staffing levels at the appropriate budgeted levels. Provides immediate supervisor with information regarding the daily operations and gives input into programs, procedure development and staff evaluations. In a timely manner, will deal with direct reports effectively and hold others accountable. Responsible for compliance with all regulatory guidelines, including the completion of any quality assurance testing. Independently performs neurodiagnostic procedures including both routine & long-term electroencephalograms (EEGs) and all modalities of evoked potential procedures under their scope of practice. Is knowledgeable in correct EEG, long-term monitoring (LTM), continuous (CEEG)/ICU monitoring, and evoked potential (EP) performance and recognition of clinically significant events and follows the facility’s policy and procedures. Exercises professional judgement in the performance of exams and communicates effectively with the neurologist and other staff members. May have on call responsibilities.
