We work with stable, responsible businesses that are experienced in remote hiring and are excited to welcome international team members. Tidal is owned and operated by consumer brand owners and operators. We have experience in offshore team-building and aim to help businesses leverage global talent.
About This Role:
We are hiring a Logistics Manager for a growing home and lifestyle brand. You will manage US fulfillment, international shipments, inventory planning, returns, and logistics costs across multiple manufacturers, warehouses, carriers, and 3PL partners. Your first priorities will be reducing overstock and understock, identifying operational bottlenecks, and creating a clear analysis of inbound and overall logistics costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage multiple shipments from different manufacturers to different warehouses while maintaining accurate documentation and timelines.
Oversee US fulfillment for parcel, oversized parcel, and residential deliveries across multiple warehouses and 3PL partners.
Coordinate FCL and LCL shipments under EXW, FOB, and DDP shipping terms.
Work with manufacturers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, ports, warehouses, and internal teams.
Prepare, review, and maintain commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, HTS or HS codes, and customs documentation.
Coordinate customs duties, port-to-warehouse delivery, container planning, inbound appointments, and shipment tracking.
Manage returns, damaged or lost shipments, replacements, carrier claims, and related inventory adjustments.
Analyze stock levels, forecasts, reorder points, inbound quantities, and warehouse allocation to reduce overstock and understock.
Analyze inbound freight, storage, fulfillment, delivery, returns, and other logistics costs to identify problems and savings opportunities.
Investigate bottlenecks, raise risks early, and independently recommend practical operational improvements.
Software/Platforms/Tools:
Shopify
Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Warehouse management and 3PL platforms
Carrier and shipment-tracking portals
Freight-forwarding and customs documentation systems
Google Workspace and project management tools
AI tools for reporting, analysis, documentation, and workflow improvement
Qualifications:
At least 4 years of logistics, fulfillment, international freight, imports, inventory planning, or supply chain experience.
Experience supporting an eCommerce, DTC, retail, furniture, home goods, or other physical-product business.
Hands-on experience with US fulfillment, parcel and oversized parcel shipping, residential delivery, and multi-warehouse operations.
Experience managing 3PL partners, returns, damaged or lost shipments, and fulfillment problems.
Strong knowledge of EXW, FOB, DDP, FCL, LCL, customs duties, HTS or HS codes, and import documentation.
Experience coordinating customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, ports, suppliers, and warehouses.
Strong Shopify and spreadsheet skills for inventory tracking, shipment management, reporting, and cost analysis.
Able to manage several shipments, partners, documents, and deadlines without losing track of details.
Highly organized, proactive, persistent with follow-ups, and capable of solving operational issues independently.
Collaborative, accountable, and comfortable working in a team that maintains high standards without micromanagement.
Shift Schedule:
Monday to Friday, with required overlap during US business hours for meetings, warehouse and carrier coordination, shipment support, and operational updates. Exact working hours and the required amount of overlap will be agreed upon directly between the contractor and the client.
