Overview
- Manage the scoping and/or delivery of all medium Complexity Capex projects across 33 manufcturing sites with an annual spend >$10MM related to Sustainability and Utilities projects.
- Support with the identification of Transformational Capex Projects and adequate scoping and buy-in for inclusion in PSP
- Support Technical Leads with Sustainability and Utilities scoping to deliver all Growth Capex projects at the adequate time
- Partner with Sector and Global Engineering Innovation Teams to replicate and implement new Technologies within existing plants (Sustainability and Utilities)
- Support Plant Engineering Team with problem solving on utilities to deliver TE Step Changing initiatives
Responsibilities
- Conduct Assessments and generate order of magnitude costing to provide project feasibility insights
- Directs the change management process for Capex projects and ensure that all impacts, aspects and risks are managed
- Drive & execute Make productivity targets & productivity pipeline
- Drive and own Process control, process trouble shooting & product quality improvements to deliver superior performance.
- Lead project methodology, project planning and support to the Engineering Manager, Plant Engineers, Project Engineers and Manufacturing Operations Support Teams
- Identify and Lead the scoping and/or end-to-end Implementation of Transformational Supply Chain Initiatives that require Capital Expenditure
- Manage Field Project Engineers contract to Execute the Project
- Support Plant Engineering Team with problem solving on utilities to deliver TE Step Changing initiatives
- Develop complete scope, URS documents and Capital Appropriation Requests for all Key and assigned projects
- Planning and execution of Mechanical, Electrical and Civils, Capex projects and capitalized maintenance of Plant and Equipment
- Collaborates with BU and Sector Engineering CoEs for front end and detail design for projects and ensure alignment to PepsiCo Engineering standards
- Responsible and accountable for cost management, schedule control and procurement activities to key and assigned projects – to achieve On-Time In-Full and on Budget for 100% of assigned projects
- Collaborates with Procurement in the running of closed tender process
- Ensure strict adherence to PepsiCo policies throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure collaborative approach to project management to ensure all stakeholders input are taken into consideration
- Ensure proactive approach in tracking Capital Spend to ensure all potential risks are timeously flagged
- Flexibilty to travel to all SA sites to support Project Delivery
- Updating and Management of SA Utilities Map and Water/Power Hardening Plans across all categories, 33 sites.
Qualifications
- Tertiary Qualification in Engineering: BSc/BEng in Chemical/Process, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
