Overview:

2020 Companies is now hiring a full-time remote Onboarding Experience Specialist!

The Onboarding Experience Specialist is a high-impact role responsible for leading the end-to-end onboarding experience for new hires while providing critical operational infrastructure for the field organization.

This position owns onboarding execution, field travel logistics, training coordination, and systems troubleshooting, ensuring new hires are fully prepared, compliant, and supported from pre-boarding through active field deployment. This role requires strong organization, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple operational priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

Onboarding & Pre-Boarding Responsibilities

  • Own and oversee the end-to-end onboarding strategy, serving as the primary advisor to new hires and internal stakeholders from offer acceptance through the early ramp period.
  • Design, implement, and continuously refine pre-boarding processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and timely completion of all documentation requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align onboarding initiatives with broader organizational goals, proactively identifying risks and driving resolution of cross-departmental issues.
  • Oversee onboarding systems and workflows, ensuring compliance and timely completion of required steps.
  • Coordinate and host new hire virtual training sessions, ensuring readiness for field deployment.
  • Assess and resolve system access and operational barriers, exercising independent judgment to determine appropriate solutions and escalation pathways.
  • Ensure all necessary logins, credentials, and system access are established prior to the start date.
  • Track onboarding progress and provide regular reporting updates to leadership.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions that enhance new hire experience and organizational effectiveness.

Field Operations & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Establish and oversee travel and logistics strategy for the field team, ensuring cost optimization, policy compliance, and operational readiness.
  • Schedule and manage logistical needs related to new hire trainings, meetings, and field initiatives.
  • Conduct operational audits and data analysis to ensure accuracy, identify trends, and inform business decisions.
  • Lead special projects and operational initiatives, independently managing timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables.
  • Maintain documentation and SOPs related to onboarding, travel processes, and operational workflows.
  • Exercise independent judgment to identify systemic gaps and implement corrective action plans to improve efficiency and mitigate risk.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in onboarding, operations coordination, HR support, or administrative operations preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot systems and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with working knowledge of formulas and reporting tools.
  • Experience supporting distributed or field-based teams preferred.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong customer-service mindset with a focus on creating a positive employee experience.
